Sorry, you need to install flash to see this content.

Although two-third's of American's across party lines, classes, and races now strongly believe there is a class war in America, Mitt Romney is still denying it. When asked what he would do for the 99 percent if he became president, Romney said that the nation is a united nation. He then asked the interviewer if he thinks China, Russia, Cuba, or North Korea is better. Romney concluded by screaming "America is right, and you're wrong."

Newswire Interview with Arun Gupta

The Occupy Wall Street protests have spread across the country like wildfire. Hundreds of people are camping out across most major cities to show their support for the 99 percent of Americans who are fed up with the other 1 percent that rules the country. To spread the message, a band of journalists joined together to create the Occupied Wall Street Journal, a printed publication that showcases the voices of demonstrators. Among the founders of that publication is Arun Gupta, who is also editor of The Indypendent newspaper and who has been reporting on the demonstrations since they began nearly a month ago.

GRITtv: The F Word: Bonanza for Big Builders

I just don't get it. When Congress approves gifts worth billions of dollars to exactly the people who don't deserve it, why isn't it front page news? On Nov. 6, when President Obama signed the Worker, Homeownership and Business Assistance Act of 2009, he extended unemployment benefits and renewed the first-time homebuyer tax credit, but hidden deep inside the law was a bonanza to exactly the big home builders that overbuilt us into a mortgage meltdown. The tax break would help struggling businesses, Obama declared. But the act actually lets big companies as well as small offset losses incurred in the bad years of 2008 and 2009 against profits booked as far back as 2004. In case you were wondering, there's no requirement that companies claiming the tax refunds create jobs with it or need any of that cash. What the companies are likely to do is keep on lobbying. How about reporting on this -- before it's a done deal -- on the front page?
