Mormon Animation Lies You Aired
You (free speech TV) recently aired a short animated video about Mormons suggesting they believed Satan and Jesus were brothers and that when their was a war in heaven God turned the non believers Black or some such nonsense. Most of this video was absolutely NOT true and does a great disservice to the American People as they decide who will be the next President. You should research things you air, just a little bit at least. I am Very upset that you obviosly do not care about the truth. I will now take anything said on your channel with a view that it's probably propaganda of some sort and look for the TRUTH elsewhere...

I have high speed (Lightning) internet and a new iMAC... and can't get the videos to load either. Works fine on everything else I use. I tested my speed this am... upload 37.5/download 4.75. Very fast, but no link. Also... sucks... FSN is not in HDTV on DirecTV. Hope it will be someday.

College Republicans Race Baiting
Dear Thom Hartmann, Hats off to you for your September 26 commentary. We cant recall seeing a person of your description get on (semi?) national television and smack down the ahistorical and absurd arguments of the "reverse discrimination" crowd.
The extent of the problem can be surmised by the many misguided youtube videos uploaded by angry white students comparing Afirmative Action to a quota system to graduate genetically inferior minorities, who go on to graduate and cheapen the value of the college degree itself. But the truth is that minorities dont get degrees thanks to AA; AA helps get minorities through admissions and into historically white and rich institutions, but has no bearing on graduation. Minorities dont get a leg up at test time or when GPA is calculated.
If Blacks get preferences in employment or retail price points, why are their quality of life statistics catastrophic, comparable in some instances to Third World nations? With more Black men in jail than university, what is the College Republicans' problem? We know what their problem is and we know they can not be reasoned with. We know what the solution is too, and its not appealing to the better angels of the College Republicans and their ilk to change their hearts and minds while we maintain a position of weakness.
This dynamic, the ease with which they get national attention at no cost, increases their conditioned power (see Galbraith, The Anatomy of Power). Pledge Drive Overload
Once again, despite your promises, you have cut down on the number of broadcasts of Gay USA during your pledge drive. It's now reduced to one showing per week. Plus, during a time when we need Al Jazeera more than ever, it's no longer available. Nothing but endless Amy Goodman, and pre-recorded sales-pitches. Do you really think viewers will put up with this disruption of schedules for 20 days? I'm forming new viewing habits, and they don't include Free Speech TV. Why can't you keep your regular scheduling, and just give 5 minutes per hour to your pledge pitches? You are treating your viewers with contempt, just like any big corporation that says, "You have no alternative, so you'll take whatever we give you!" Disgusting. I won't be renewing my membership.
Providing Skewed Polls
Providing skewed polls and making skewed assertions about the Tea Party folks, and offering untruths under the guise of being truthful (i.e. child labor practices of a few as a widespread problem) is a key reason the Progressive Party is in the minority in this country.

Huh? Would one of those "skewed assertions" be that the Tea Party is not a genuine grass roots organization but the creation of right wing PR firms and big corporate money (Freedomworks, the Cato Institute, the Koch family) all supported by right wing propagandist media like Fox. Of course it should be noted that CNN and the "liberal media" also called the Tea Party a grass roots organization and did very little coverage about it's actual origins or who was paying for all those painted busses full of angry middle age white folk screaming at their representatives. On the other hand, they did give us some entertainment when screaming "Keep government out of my Medicare".
Viewing FSTV w/ a Plug-in
When I lived in Illinois, I was able to watch FSTV on Dish. I moved back to Tennessee, and I really miss being able to watch. Here we have Comcast, but apparently Comcast does not offer FSTV. Because of job loss we are now going to have to drop cable TV, keeping only internet. I have been considering investing in an XBOX or Playstation 3 and using PlayOn software on my PC along with a wireless router to pick up many of the channels that are on cable, such as CNN and CBS. Apparently these are available through Hulu.com at no charge. I will also be able to watch many of the Netflix offerings at no charge. Since this is all completely legal, I was wondering whether FSTV provides some sort of plug-in I could use with the PlayOn software that would allow me once again to watch FSTV?

I had Comcast too. but when they got rid of Olberman, I got rid of them and went to Dish Network...it has remarkable channels on it. Link TV will give you all the news from the middle east. plus you get free speech tv and many other channels not offered by comcast, or verizon.

Loss of Feed
I'm sorry to say that we lost significant portions of Thom Hartmann today. What is with the interruptions in service during the day? Programming seems to run ok in the evening. Don't feel we can join due to this issue.

Thanks for writing. We are very aware of the technical malfunctions with Hartmann. We are using an Internet-based video delivery system, and we are in the process of changing that system. This is of urgent concern to us, and we are working hard to re-establish a secure connection to deliver the live program each weekday. We're hoping that will happen in a couple of weeks. Please check your audio on this video FSTV it cuts in and out so much that most would not continue watching... I am stubborn for the right to information so I continue to watch... but seriously it needs fixing... Perhaps US media suppression?

FSTV Blogs Helpful
I have been most of the blogs of Free Speech TV and i found it very helpful and full of resources. It's quite effective and helps people to know about the real aspects. If it would be possible for me to watch Free Speech on Network cables so that i could watch it on Custom Home Theater, then it would have been great. Still, i am taking whatever i can from the site. Bush Admin War Crimes Charges by Spain Cover-up
I recently viewed comments on the best of free speech tv, made by Thom Hartman, regarding a coverup/hushup by representatives of the obama admin regarding Spain's consideration for charging members of the Bush administration with war crimes. I thought I heard Hartman relate that there were memos/e-mails concerning this subject in the recently Wikileaks document dump. Can't seem to find anything on the subject. Thought I heard Hartman memtion he had a web sight through "MotherJones.com", but I can't find it. Any ideas anyone?

I received their new channel lineup and saw that they offer FStv. THE PROBLEM: They told me that FStv is delivered in MPEG4 compression format which requires an HD Reciever ($239) and HD Service ($10/mo). Can you say kaCHING? Apparently, FStv is not an HD program. I don't understand. THE SOLUTION: I need one. Had the same problems with mothers Tv. She had Directv and only in SD. So she purchased Dish Network to obtain their programming. Solved that problem!

I Love Laura Taking Sides
I love the way Laura really takes sides. You know her. I would go up and say hi Laura. Amy is stoic and if you didnt know better you would wonder whose side is she on. I have seen her on stage and this is not the case but I would never go up to her and say hi Amy. I love them both and where I live in redneck Washington they save my sanity.

I know how you feel. I live in AZ and Im a redneck that supports FSTV. I love that channel my dad watches it constantly. As much as I love being informed it just pisses you off to learn all these things. But I would rather be a pissed off educated person then ignorant and being pissed on.

With my standard (old, non-HD) TV I get FSTV and Link TV on Dish Network, which I've been very happy with for seven years. Not sure why everyone goes with Direct TV; Dish Network has carried FSTV for years.

Could Free Speech TV use HTML 5 for their on-line videos on demand? I am blind and use the VoiceOver screen reader on Mac OS 10. VoiceOver does not read Flash, so I can not hit the button to play a video. For example, if I were to follow a link to a Democracy Now episode, I would not be able to listen to it because one apparently has to hit a play button after they follow a link to a video. If HTML 5 was used, I would be able to play the videos with no problem because it is accessible to VoiceOver.

What's Really Happening
Wow, I hadn't seen FStv for quite some time and glad I found it online! It's refreshing to hear/see about things that are REALLY happening as opposed to getting the "spin" news from the bigger media outlets. I sure wish you could make FSTV more available outside of Dish Network (which is not free). I realize it is a good thing for you to be on Dish because you can reach many people who would otherwise never find and watch FSTV. Do you have an exclusivity agreement with Dish? Some additional delivery methods I wish you'd consider, first the satellite at 97 degrees where Globecast World TV has many foreign TV channels, AlJazeera English, Russia Today, Mhz Worldview, and many many more and they are is FREE plus receivers and dishes are inexpensive. Also AlJazeera English has an iPhone App that works great, I can watch it anywhere there's 3G or WiFi, how about coming up with a similar app? And as some have said here how about an audio-only streaming feed? I cancelled my Dish Network subscription several months ago and miss FSTV. At a minimum I wish you could convince Dish to unscramble your channel, but they are in business to make money so that'll probably never happen.
