Accounting/Business Manager

Free Speech TV is seeking to hire a regular, full-time Accounting/Business Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating accounting and human resource duties. The Accounting/Business Manager's specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Full Charge Accounting up to audit by outside accountants
  • Financial Statements
  • Financial reports for annual budget process
  • Business Insurance
  • Payroll, including employment forms and paying taxes
  • Employee Benefits - health, dental and vision insurance
  • Personnel policies and files
  • Human Resource Ombudsperson
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • BS/BA in accounting and/or minimum of 3-5 years comparable accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Quick Books and Excel a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and a resourcefulness to meet deadlines;
  • A passion for independent media and social justice, as well as a familiarity with current social, political, cultural, and environmental issues, is desirable; and
  • Ability to work collegially with other staff and partners to achieve common objectives.
The Accounting/Business Manager reports to the General Manager. This full-time position has a salary range of $40,000-$43,000.
