"Democracy Now!": Thur. Mar. 18 2010
Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio announced on Wednesday he would switch his vote on the Democrat-led healthcare reform bill and support the legislation even though it does not create a public option. Kucinich’s decision came two days after he spoke with President Obama aboard Air Force One on their way to a rally in his district. In a Democracy Now! exclusive, we spend the hour with Kucinich and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader for an in-depth discussion on healthcare, the Obama administration, the Iraq war and more. "Democracy Now!" is a daily independent newshour.

Limit Health Care Increases
It's really sad to see that you have to go against what you believe in to help something move forward. That's like saying, I am against drugs but give me that kilo of coke and let me help you distribute it among the people. Hopefully the war on drugs will end some day some how. They have to take the bull the horns (insurance companies) and cut their horns off so they can stop gouging people in health care costs. Everyone has different levels of income and some non at all, so it is a very hard issue to solve. There has to be some kind of laws that limits the increase of health care premiums to people. They increase taxes, the cost of food, fuel, but the value of the dollar or a persons wages does not match the increasing amounts raised in every aspect of living.
