Among the stories this week: Anise Parker is the new mayor of Houston, Texas, the largest city now run by an outed lesbian; N.Y. Gov. David Paterson extended rights to transgendered persons working for the state; Washington, D.C. passed a new law that allows gay marriage -- with a few caveats. Buju Banton, the anti-gay Jamaican singer known for "murder music," has been nominated for a Grammy and jailed on drug charges in Miami; some Christian groups and the United States have backed off supporting the draconian anti-gay bill being pursued in Uganda; a major gay activist has been assassinated in Honduras. We the Gay, Lesbian, & Transgender Society, do not care for your comments, We are also citizens of this Great Nation, and as for the congress, our taxes also help pay your saleries, so, in a big sense, you also work for us, not just the so-called straight society. I am tired of hearing about your "rights". I don't bring my sexuality into the work place or anywhere else it does not belong. You are an abomination of the human race. You are wrong. Just because you have your opinion does not make it correct.
Education
Straight people put photos of their families on their desks, wear wedding rings, take off for anniversaries, you take special leaves of absence, etc. So of course, your sexuality is brought to work. If you want to call us an abomination then you better be Jewish and not Christian. The whole point of Christianity is the new Testament, Jesus' words. But really, just using the Bible to justify anything these days shows stupidity and hypocrisy, especially when it comes to marriage. But all this doesn't matter, progress means forward, so we are guaranteed an eventual victory of marriage. Do you know what reaction formation is? I'm sorry for your inner struggles, we'll leave the door cracked open slightly until you're ready.
