election

Speaking of the possible election of the first openly african-american lesbian in GA reminds me of the city council president when I lived in Atlanta. Cathy Woolard who was first elected to the council in 1998 (when I moved to Atl.) She was elected to city council president in 2001 with 55% of the overall vote in a run-off election. I moved away in 2003, after eight years I would assume someone else holds that postion but I might be surprise.

Which also brings up your boasting of NYC accomplishments of electing Christine Quinn, all well and good but please quit referring to that as a first for a major North American City.

Thank you
