Native Heartbeat 1: Star Indian Cultural Center

Host Chenoa Egawa visits Marty Bluewater, executive director of the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Seattle, WA, during the "Looking Back Toward the Future" benefit. The concert is held to raise funding and awareness of the 40th anniversary of the takeover of Ft. Lawton, in the Magnolia area of Seattle, by the Seattle Native American community, and the establishment of the United Indians of All Tribes foundation. "Native Heartbeat" will cover issues and events important to Indian people though storytelling brought to life by Indian journalists in a friendly, educational manner.
