Netroots Nation 2013

The Netroots Nation Conference amplifies progressive voices by providing an online and in-person campus for exchanging ideas and learning how to be more effective in using technology to influence the public debate. Through our annual convention and other events, we strengthen the community, inspire action and serve as an incubator for ideas that challenge the status quo and ultimately affect change in the public sphere.


The National Conference for Media Reform (NCMR) is a national conference and movement intended to empower journalists, change media and technology policies, promote the public interest and strengthen democracy. NCMR advocates for universal and affordable Internet access, diverse media ownership, vibrant public media and quality journalism.

The People's Inauguration

John Nichols (The Nation magazine, MSNBC Contributor, Author) will moderate a series of panel discussions focused on the most critical issues of today. PDA presents PC III in partnership with The Nation Magazine, Co-Sponsored by National Nurses United (NNU), and Busboys and Poets.

Pirate TV

Pirate TV challenges the Media Blockade, bringing you independent voices, information and programming unavailable on the Corporate Sponsor-Ship. The show features talks, interviews and documentaries. The series, originally called “Crack the CIA” focused on exposing the secret foreign policy of the United States and the phony drug war but as the subject matter of the program expanded it was decided to drop the “Crack the CIA” moniker and just call the show “Pirate Television”.

The Nation at the New School: Progressives and Election 2012

A conversation about the role of progressives in the next election. How do we balance support for the Democrats with the need to mobilize grassroots support for social and economic causes?
